Findon Christmas Tree Festival

We took part in the Findon Christmas Tree Festival this year for the first time. This is a fund-raising event when the wonderful old Church of St John the Baptist is filled with Christmas trees decorated by local groups and societies. They ranged from children’s groups to a ‘Men in Sheds’ group. It was a lovely sight. Unfortunately the low lighting made it difficult to photograph, so only a few of the close-ups came out. Apologies for the lack of focus!

Here are some of the decorations after they were taken off the tree, so you can see more detail.

Findon Christmas Tree Festival Decoration

Hello world!

Welcome to the Worthing Tuesday Embroiderers Guild website. We hope this will give members a space to check what’s on and what we’ve all been up to. We hope it will also give prospective new members some idea of what we do.

Contributions for the gallery of members’ work will be gratefully received. We see glimpses of the wonderful work that people do when we have a ‘show and tell’ session, ranging from traditional hand-stitching, machine embroidery, to ‘slash and burn’. It would be lovely to put more of them here for people to see the finished thing.
